Feedback from a former intern

Kristoffer about his experience in California:
Operations and Supply Chain Management

I really enjoyed my stay in the US. I gained a lot of experience, made many friends from all around the world and learned about American business culture, which, surprisingly to me, was quite different from the Danish one. I can highly recommend anyone who plans on doing an internship abroad to go to the US, and Silicon Valley in particular. Silicon Valley offers a great diversity in nationalities, cultures, and nature in addition to probably being one of the epi-centers of the business world. During my internship, I made many friends that I am still in contact with, I had the chance to travel around the US and participate in American customs and traditions.

My internship tasks
I was really lucky to get the best manager imaginable. He made a great effort to expose me to the rest of the organization and to involve me in different projects from day one. This allowed me to work on a lot of different and exciting tasks throughout my internship. One of the first big projects I worked on was inventory management, where I was responsible for analyzing various data to improve the inventory. I had to prepare presentations for the executives who based their decisions on my recommendations. It was a great experience to actually apply some of the knowledge I gained at university and to see that the skills I learned during my studies are actually of value in the “real world”.
