It was announced on September 20th that the United States will soon lift the travel ban which has been in place for Brazil, China, Iran, Ireland, South Africa, the United Kingdom, and the Schengen region. We are very pleased to be able to offer our J1 Visa Service on a regular basis again! That said, while travel restrictions are supposed to end in early November, there is no official specific date yet. We are waiting for final details.
As a new regulation, everyone traveling to the U.S. will have to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and provide a negative COVD-19 test in order to enter. Covid-19 vaccines accepted by U.S. authorities currently are Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson / Janssen. Other approvals are under discussion.
Consulates are still waiting for information which is why embassies are currently not issuing J1 visa. At first, we also expect longer waiting time and delays at the embassies once they resume their services. We therefore suggest that you plan your program not to start before December 1 at the earliest.
It is still easiest to contact us via e-mail: email@example.com
